Welcome to the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society (PAOrtho) Foundation! The Foundation furthers the practice of orthopaedic medicine through educational and scientific program support. Resident Research Grant ProgramProgram OverviewThe PAOrtho Foundation Resident Research Grant Program supports small research projects that can be carried out in a short period of time. Typical study scope can include, but is not limited to self-contained research projects, pilot studies, and secondary analysis of existing data. Eligibility CriteriaThe program is open only to PAOrtho members who are enrolled as PGY2 or PGY3 resident physicians in an ACGME or AOA approved orthopaedic surgical residency program in Pennsylvania. Applicants must demonstrate a genuine interest in research and submit a compelling proposal that aligns with the program’s goals. Preference is often given to projects that show innovation, potential clinical relevance, and feasibility.
